About Our Wall Words

When new folks attend church with us at High Country UCC, one of the first things they notice are words stenciled along the top of the walls in our sanctuary.

These seventy words are the bounty of a project originally inspired by Kathleen Rowell, back when High Country UCC met at the older Foscoe location. One Sunday, attendees were invited to write down a word describing something they wanted our new church to value.

Seventy responses were given and stenciled on the Foscoe walls. The stenciled words became part of our church identityand have been diligently transferred to the new walls that us from Foscoe to State Farm Road to our current and settled Vilas location.
