Children
We welcome and celebrate children as full participants in the life of the Church. Their gifts, graces, and insights are enjoyed in service, fellowship, and in worship. Each week children learn through lectionary-based curricula resources, music, art, and play. Children enjoy their own worship bulletins and personalized denim bags of activities related to the theme for the day.
During worship, children participate through Children’s Sermons, art, musical presentations, dance, signing, and by serving the congregation as liturgists. “Rainbow Time” provides learning opportunities for the youngest children during the worship service.
Our Children’s Minister, Sondra Edwards provides leadership in all aspects of the education ministry of our church, particularly with emphasis upon early childhood spiritual experience and music.
Recently, our Children collected funds to purchase Heifer International animals to assist families with sustainable food production. They encouraged the congregation to share in this important project.
