HCUCC in Moral Monday “Candid Slice”

Hi friends, Cath here sharing some news. The first Sunday after being arrested for civil disobedience in Raleigh at the 5th Moral Monday, I got to share some of my experience during worship at HCUCC. I had written it down as a spiritual reflection, and I was touched that late on June 23rd an excerpt of my Moral Monday story was published an article on Candid Slice. Candid Slice provides a forum for people who want to raise awareness about social causes or to share life experiences they are passionate about.

If you scroll down to the bottom of the article there, you will see the tagline describes me as the Peace and Justice Team Co-chair at High Country United Church of Christ in Vilas, NC. Over less than 2 full days that article has been shared at least 220 times. I am grateful that the editors at Candid Slice appreciated the spiritual aspects of my experience, and I am grateful that word of our church is being shared along with this story. I am grateful for the inclusive values and passion for justice which our church nurtures.
