Oct 14: Church Work Day and Party!
Twice a year, we hold a workday in order to tend to projects on the church grounds and in our buildings. This fall, we’re going to try something different and schedule it for a Sunday, after worship. So, on October 14th, please bring your work clothes and gloves and help us out with these tasks:
- Vegetable garden clean up for winter
- Installing cabinets in children’s Sunday school room
- Raking leaves
- Memorial Garden planting and tending
Please bring perennials that we can plant in the Memorial Garden. Any that will tolerate hot sun and somewhat dry conditions would be good…. Sedums, Phlox, Blackeyed Susans, Daisys, etc. This is a good time of year for people to divide and bring plants from their own gardens. Also, bags of Black Kow compost are needed.
We will have a light potluck lunch immediately following service, and then we’ll get to the work and fun!
