Youth
The Youth are valued and active members of our fellowship! The group is full of life, fun, enjoying fellowship and mission! Highlights of each summer include a mission trip involving hard work on behalf of others in need. The past two summers, the youth have been in Cincinnati, Ohio working alongside Washington UCC and their ministries in the inner city area of Camp Washington.
The youth work hard repairing row houses for persons in need, working in the open-air soup kitchen, and with children in the church’s many programs for at-risk children. The youth also work locally with RAM, at fundraisers to help support their projects, with Relay for Life, and serve the congregation as liturgists, communion assistants, and musicians. Their Sunday School class, led by the pastor, is always loud, fun, and welcoming to all!
Recently, the youth were featured in the National UCC’s publicity brochure for the “Strengthen the Church” offering. They are famous!
